I thought of this when I hear about the GOP race EVERY TIME At least with Hermain Cain winning the Florida Straw Poll, it shows some people don't give into media hype

What about Mitt Romney? Aside from his mitt-flopping, he's a good guy.
IDK. I'm strongly liberal, but I think there are some GOOD republicans out there...

I wouldn't either. When I was younger, I was really patriotic and Pro-Bush, to the chagrin of my parents. Then after him I was basically wearing "America Really Stinks" badge. Now, after doing a crap ton of research on the policies of both parties and a bit more maturity, I definitely lean towards democrats and I love my country again. The only think I don't agree on w/ the Democrats is the whole marijuana thing. I think it's what we need in SOME PARTS of the US, because of the drug violence and all, but it's NOT what they need in Chicago, or Seattle, or Portland.

Indeed. Precisely the reason why over the past decade, I've slowly but surely went from being a "hard right" republican voter to being an unaffiliated with conservative liberatarian leanings. I just can't identify fully with the replublican party anymore. I agree with a mish-mash of differing ideals from both the left and the right, within reason.

I know what you mean there. I find it hard to affilate with any party these days. I have more democratic leanings on issues when it comes to the environment and education and health care, but when it comes to things like gun control, I think as long as you are of sound mind and not a felon, guns should not be an issue. (Although why some people would want some is beyond me but who am I to judge) What really turns me off of the COnservatives and GOP is how they seem to completely ignore the downtroden of the USA and throw Jesus into everything when the founding fathers say "Seperation of Church and State :) :iconjesusfacepalmplz: A country is measured by the how they treat the least of us. Also I cannot stand a party that makes homosexuals out to be trash or will not say anything when a gay solider is booed. Come on, he is out there giving his life for this nation and you boo him for who he loves. :iconfailsignplz: Rant aside, out of the GOP Ron Paul seems sanest, but I doubt he would get the nomination because he does not appeal to the uber-Christians and Big Oil types. :( This site is quite helpful when figuring out who is good: [link] Go with the one with the least hate comments. ;)

Personally if Paul doesn't get the nomination, I will either vote Obama or say fuck it and write in Chuck Norris.
